Oak Plantation Kissimmee, stores etc...

We are thinking of staying here in Oct. I did a search and most of the posts are a few years old. Anyone stay here more recenlty? And do you know far a grocery store would be? Is it hard to get to from the airport and is WDW still about 20mns away or is there construction around?

I've never stayed here, but we did a timeshare tour there in Jan. The units are either new or are undergoing renovation and everything was in good repair. The salesperson did say that there was a back road to get to Disney, so one wouldn't have to travel down 192. It is near a Super Wal-Mart.
