View Full Version : "Renting" reservation points?

Since we are fairly new to DVC (one year Anniversary coming up!), I am wondering, can reservation points be "rented" or given to another DVC member just like regular points?

I cancelled a reservation on DCL when the price fell, and I could cruise for the same price for cash without using ANY points - and ended up with reservation points (cannot be used at a DVC resort).

We are going to use some of them when we go in Jan, but will have 72 left over that I doubt now we will use before June when they expire.

If they can be "rented" should one expect less in return based on the fact that they cannot be used at DVC resorts?

Anyone with experience, thanks!

Reservation points can't be transferred to another member, but a reservation may be made in someone else's name using those points.

The fee received for any reservation is always negotiable (you can ask for what you want, they can offer what they want). I wouldn't assume they are worth less, but you will certainly be competing with CRO to rent a non-DVC room to someone else price-wise.

Good Luck!
