I was watching Spongebob yesterday :happytv: and a commercial for Universal came on. They're doing a special for a 7 day pass for both parks for $85.00 per person.

I highly doubt we'll go to Universal more then 2 times (once to each park, *maybe 3*), but is it worth it to just get this package if we want to go there different days?

Is there a website that offers daily tickets cheaper? I know about undercovertourist, they're $67 per day..

If you are going to go more than once in a seven day period, this is a great deal.

This is the best deal. Plus, if you have a mastercard they have a special right now that you buy 4 tickets and you get a 5th ticket free.

Right, no one is going to use all 7 days, but if you are staying for the week it means you can visit a few mornings and get your money's worth. This is a great deal if you're only visiting Orlando one time this year.

If you're staying offsite, it's best to visit early in the morning, and do this a few times. From 9-11am the crowds are light on any day. At 11am, the herd shows up and it gets packed.

A good strategy is to visit the Universal parks in the morning, go back to your hotel to rest, then visit a Disney park at night. And you can flip this around if you want to see Universal at night, but Universal only stays open late during peak times, like spring break and summer.

Really great ideas!!

I didnt read anywhere on the site that its only good for a certain date that you're staying.. Unless I missed it somewhere? I'm going to be there from 6/38-7/9.. I hope the ticket prices will still be effective for that time!!!

When are you there from? I'm not quite sure what your dates mean. As long as you use the tickets within the 7 day window from first use to last use, there are no date restrictions.

www.costco.com has a three month/two park ticket for $84.99 plus shipping. I don't know if you need to be a member of Costco to order it, though. I've been lurking on the Universal threads for a few months. We have a Universal/WDW trip planned for January of 2008. I've gotten so much info from you all. Thanks!

Are you saying that you can buy 4 of the $85 tickets and get the fifth free if you use a mastercard to make the purchase?

I just checked Universal's website and didn't see anything like this.

The buy 4 get one free deal is for the 2 day/ 2 park tickets which has 3 free days so you actually are getting a 5 day ticket. Its $399.80 (plus tax) for the 5 tickets. If you need 5 tickets then its possible to save $5 per a ticket vs the $85 ticket deal but you have 5 day tickets instead of 7 day tickets. If your interested here is the page (http://www.universalorlando.com/mastercard.html) which has the deal.

Thanks for the link. I checked that deal out and feel like the $85 deal is still the best one out there. The buy 4 at $99.95 and get the 5th one free only saves $25 and has 2 less days on the the tickets. May be better for some, however, if they aren't going to need their tickets more than 5 days. If it was a substantial savings, we might have gone for it though.
