Hiyas!
When planning your date for a custom wedding, what actually counts as a holiday? I'm specifically looking at Armistice Day (November 11th) as a possibility...does that change pricing at all?
TIA!

I'm not sure about Nov 11th, however we were told that our date, Feb 14th, will be $15k minimum due to being a holiday.

I don't think you will be impacted, but I would contact DFTW just to make sure. If it does, I think it just impacts the minimums, not the prices. It seems like I remember them telling me that the holiday minimums applied to holidays near three day weekends (like Memorial Day) and then days like New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, etc., but I'm not positive on that.

As far as I remember it would only effect your minimums..but only for major holiday, like the other post stated. I know for different times of the year, you can negotiate some of the prices down a bit. I got married Dec. 13, 2006 and we were able to get the minimum price for the reception dinner at the GF a little bit cheaper and also saved on the cost of the DJ because it was right before Christmas and on a Wednesday..it was also not in the height of 'wedding season'! So I would check with your planner and see because you might be able to get a discount...no guarantees but worth a shot!! Good luck!
