Okay...I'm an awful person! I've been really bad about finally writing thank you notes to people who came to our wedding. I did thank people for coming in our Christmas cards...but I haven't sent specific thank you notes for the gifts they sent us...:guilty: ...I know...I'm terrible! But, life has been crazy lately, and I've been sick for quite some time...and well...excuses...excuses...
So...Finally, I've written thank you/Valentine cards...and I hope that people won't hate me too much...:sad2:
Here are the cards...

I bought the cards at a site that sells reproduction vintage valentines and other cards http://www.laughingelephant.com/showproducts.cfm?FullCat=59 ...and I added the ribbon, and "Thank you" tag...with a nice note on the back.

That has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen!
I would love to get a thank you note like that.

Moonpie,
I don't think it's unsual to have a bit of a delay. All of my friends who have gotten married sent thank yous like 6 months after. You're only like 3 months out.
And they're the cutest I've ever seen. I wish I had thought of it.
I'm struggling to get my "announcements" and invitations for my July wedding tour out. It takes a long time. I'm sure everyone understands.

I've gone to 4 of my cousin's weddings and have gotten thank you notes anywhere from 3-8 months after. I think people will understand that with the holidays and all of the newlywed stuff you had a lot going on! I wouldn't worry about it.
Also, those cards are so adorable. :goodvibes

I was pretty late in my thank-you cards as well. I got married in November, we had our reception the 2nd of December and I was lucky to have most done by Christmas. I figured everyone had given up on the cards at that point. No worries-- I love the style of those cards though.

Moonpie- your thank you notes are really cute :)
As for the delay, I think everyone will understand. A late thank you note is better than no thank you note at all. Our friends were married in May 06 and I am still waiting on a thank you note. We gave them a VERY generous gift, and I am honestly hurt that we haven't gotten a thank you yet. I am sure your guests will be very appreciative :goodvibes

Moonpie... we are in the same boat as you... we were married on Dec. 11th. We returned home on 12/28 and even though most of the them have gone out, we still have a few lingering that need to go out... some people don't send them out for many many months later... etiquette states no longer than 2 months, but seriously, we weren't even home for the first month, so that can't count, so we are right on track. :rotfl2: Don't worry about it. The thank you cards you chose are absolutely adorable!!!! I feel like just as we are getting caught up on our 1st wedding, we are going to have to send out the next wave of thank yous for our 2nd reception here in NJ... and then, after we do that, my MOH is throwing me a "surprise" baby shower and I'll have to send thank you cards out for that... and by the time that's done, we'll have to send out announcements about the baby being born... does this card madness ever end??? :rotfl:

Thanks everyone! You've all made me feel so much better! My husband told me the same thing..."Better late than never!"
...and today, I gave one to a coworker who went to my wedding...and she had the biggest smile on her face and said, "Tanya...oh, the card is so cute! Thank you so much!" It was such a nice reaction to get! :cutie:

Your thank you cards are wonderful! They are so unique and thoughtful. I love that cute as they are, you personalized them and made them distinctive. Every detail of your wedding has been incredible. This leads me to the question.....
Will you please help me plan my wedding? :confused3

Hee hee! :cutie: Thanks for the compliments! And as for helping to plan your wedding...my fee is... :rotfl2:
Seriously, I'd be honored to give you any help, or input, or advice that you might need...but I've found that most people don't share my quirky taste. :hippie:

I think I told you this before in your planning journal, but I just love that you had a great vintage feel to every part of your wedding and it's so cool that you kept it from beginning to thank you notes! It makes it all so pretty and shows how much thought you put into everything. I'm trying to figure out how to do that for myself even though I'm not very creative.:sad2:
By the way, my fiance and I are tentatively scheduled with Disney for November 3, 2007 (just a few more weeks to confirm!) which is a day away from your anniversary! Maybe that means I should just copy your wedding.
