I was part of the medical volunteer group from Maryland with "Operation Life Line". We set up 6 clinics around the area to provide medical care. We lived in Meadowcrest Hospital after it was evacuated and taken over by the goverment for residental use by the volunteers including DOCTORS, NURSES, PHARMACIST, EMS, FIRE, MILITARY, POLICE, Etc. I was wondering if it has been turned into a working hospital or still being used for housing? Also, is Lincoln Elem. School reopened? That is where my clinic was set up. :confused3

Thank you so much for volunteering here!

Meadowcrest was bought this past summer by Ochsner and has reopened and is a working hospital. My SIL is a pharmacist there.

Lincoln Elementary has also reopened.

Thanks so much! That sounded like a very rough time for the personnel at Meadowcrest!
Things here are the Westbank actually seem pretty normal, compared to the rest of the area. Since we had minimal flooding here, we've had a huge influx of people living in this area. The hospitals are still very under-staffed & the medical staffs are working their butts off!
