Is this a good deal?

I have tried and tried but this is the best I can find. I didn't use a code but I did call Small World Travel and the package for the Poy Garden view for 5 nights for 3 adults with 6 day hopper is
$2974. I guess the time is regular season which is why is seems so expensive to me. We are going 5/22-5/27. I don't think it is any cheaper if I book a room only and then get a 6 day hopper from the AAA store here. I will need to make the deposit by the 15th so any and all advice will be appreciated. There will be 8 traveling so we are a Grand Gathering. We are getting 2 rooms. We really want to be at the Poly but if anyone has advise for me on how to save alittle bit more do tell, I am out of the habit of planning these types of trips now and things have changed in the last 5 years with Disney.

Please give me some advice my sister is making me crazy with questions and the only thing I am sure about is the resort choice and the fireworks cruise.

I have Poly for 5 nights for $1275 tax included. No tix, no dining, Sept 30 checkin. Not as good as the 40%, but not too bad.

Yes I think that this is the AAA discount. I think the time period we are going is regular season. I usually go in August so we have apparently always gotten a nice discount. I have sticker shock but this is the only time my sister can go so ... Well I know I love the Poly and with little people it will be good for us. We have the pass included in the price so I think it is about $420 with the tax per night for a garden room. Ahh the elusive code and pin. I would like to have gotten the room a bit more reasonable but I suppose that the memories will be priceless. this is the first time my sister and her family will be going to Disney.
