I am staying with my family at BCV for the first time this May. I have stayed at the BC but never in the villas. Please tell me, what views or locations should I ask for?
Some things we would like:
To have a view of something other than a parking lot! We'd love to be able to see the boardwalk or even Illuminations.
To be close to a bus stop, the walkway to Epcot, a pool, or the main lobby. We don't want to trek all over earth and back each day just at our own resort. We save our walkin for the parks!
Any suggestions? We're in a studio if that matters. All we have requested so far is non-smoking.
We don't obviously need ALL of the things I listed above, but those are the types of things we'd like if possible.

We stayed and requested the woods view. It seemed to be the quietest. There really is no Epcot view now because of Soarin.

You can get a pool view (which also includes the parking lot), a courtyard view that looks over towards the BC or the garden/road view that looks over towards Epcot. We like the pool view. There is no Boardwalk view from the BCV.

I'll be back at BCV in May also.
I prefer being close the the main elevators, and having a pool view.
If you get that it should cover most of your wishes.
The pool views do look toward the parking lot, but it's hardly visible don't let that influence you.
I've stayed in room 228 twice, it's a handicap studio hence no tub (only a shower) and the sink is in the bathroom instead of outside in a vanity.
It has a great view of the pool, and I believe it has the largest balcony of any room.

So what rooms are closest to the bus stop? We don't want to have to trek all over to get to the bus for MK or AK.
On a totally unrelated note...I am spending one night at BWV after my BCV stay. I am booked in a preferred room view, pool/garden. Any suggestions on what I should request there? I've never stayed at BWV. Thanks!

It really doesn't matter than much. If you take the elevator to the main lobby and walk out the door towards the BC, you just veer towards the right sidewalk and you will wind up close to the sidewalk that takes you to the bus stop.

Technically the closest studio to the bus stop would be 105, 1st floor courtyard view, 206 would be a good choice and would be a dunes/pool view.
and a pretty short walk to the bus stop.
I don't like the first floor so if I had a choice I would prefer 206 because of the view.
Being anywhere near the main elevator would not be bad, as Deb & Bill pointed out. With all the walking you'll be doing in the parks a few extra steps at your resort shouldn't make a big difference.
Sorry I can't help with BWV, never stayed there.

Thanks everyone. I am so excited to finally use my points at my second home resort of BCV! I am such a novice with BCV that I didn't even realize there was a separate main lobby for the BCV--does that mean there is a separate check-in area for DVC?

You check in for the BCV in the same place you check in for the BC.
