This is all through Disney.

No pins or codes.....I already tried.

Can I get a better deal?

If so, how?

This is our first time staying on Disney property. I guess I could use some help.

Are you a member of AAA? If you book through them you can get a room discount w/dining. I'm not sure how much you'd save, but these rooms are limited.

aaa offers 15% room portion of your package at delux resorts during value season. magic kingdom view rack rate 395 + tax per night.

15% off would get you a savings of about 66 per night including tax. Total for 7 nights about 466. If you need to join aaa that one nights savings should pay for the membership. Leaving you a savings of about 400.

as always assuming availibility of a aaa discounted room. aaa packages must be booked through aaa.

If free dining gets offered you can add that after the fact to an existing reservation either with aaa or disney, but can not be added on top of the aaa discount...you would start back from rack rate.

This would save you about 100 per night giving you a total savings of about 700.

Free dining is definitely an IF so I wouldn't count/plan on it.

Wouldn't I have to spend that $400 room savings on Park Tickets......either through AAA or Disney?

You can not get get dining plan without purchasing tickets.
To get dining plan you must have a package.
To get a package you must have tickets.

Your quote was for a package. To get that exact same package utilizing a aaa discount you must purchase through aaa. Take the exact package your quote is for do it though aaa instead of disney. If there is availibility you will save the 400.
