IT'S OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't get to it by going to the Southwest website, so what I did is click on my little wing for my ding notification and then clicked book air and it opened up the dates for me!

Don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't happen! It supposed to be the next schedule of dates, from May 11 onwards.

I'll be sitting here at 10am waiting with baited breath!

I've got to work from 9am to 7pm (and no internet at work!!!) :scared1: so I hope that I can get what I want if they offer DING's to MCO tomorrow

I don't think they offer Dings for a couple weeks after they first release the dates... I am hoping for under $95 each way as i have to get rid of a credit by May.

Just booked our flight for August, for four one way $271 woohoo. Could only book one way though, since we don't return until August 29th. But hey as long as i get there, im not so worried about coming home. Phew finally

You didn't give any info on airports and such. I looked for MCO to BUF and there are no cheap prices. For BUF to MCO it's $59 and up.

Just booked $59 each way for August. Kept refreshing Southwest booking page at 11am and got on at 11:07am. Sure beats last year's fare for $147 when the summer rates first came out. We booked Sat 4 at 12:25pm and Wed. 15 at 4:10pm. Still hoping for Dings.

I just booked Southwest out of Buffalo for my family's trip Aug. 10-18 for USD$543 return ($54.88 + taxes per person per flight).

That's crazy cheap. I can't imagine it getting any lower than that!

The $59 is what shows you when you first click on the flight you want. The price comes up lower when you actually book it.

WOW - Just book for $271 Buffalo to MCO for 4 - one way. We are going Aug 19 to Sept 2 so need to book the home trip later when available.

WOW, good to see that $59 fares are available when fares/dates first released. Last year I booked at $145 each when SWA first released for BUF-MCO Dec 9 flight. I rebooked three times and eventually got a DING for under $40, but glad to see that SWA is releasing fares/dates at $59!!!! Hopefully $59 fares will be avail when SWA releases Dec 2007. It was kind of stressful booking a $145 fare!!!! I would rather book a $59 and then not have to worry about DINGS!

cabmon, thanks I wasn't thinking when I typed. It was for the trip home from Orlando to Buffalo. I was hoping for a late morning non stop on Sat. I booked Friday night at 8pm and we will spend the night in Buffalo and drive hope at our leasure Sat. One less night to pay for at Disney but we get most of the day at the Parks on Fri.

We booked 9 seats on the 4:25pm out of BUF - MCO....
Got $59/way +tax.... our family of 5 had a $350 credit from a price drop last year.... so in the end our tickets were $32.50/way... wonder if a ding'll beat that!!!!

Does Southwest usually open up their schedule this far in advance ... they are open all the way out to August... thats 6months out ??
I'm trying to see If it's worth me waiting for Southwest to open up December or if I should just booke with Airtran next April when they release December rates.:confused3

So it looks like fares for the November period have been released anywhere from late June to late July, in past years. Is there a way to find out specifics for the current year, other than calling SOuthwest directly?

I don't think even calling southwest directly would be able to tell you anything. At least I've never heard of anyone getting anywhere by calling. I would say to just keep an eye out around the time that they should be released. This board usually has it posted like everywhere within an hour or so of it opening up.

Not sure about the exact dates in June/July for this November's bookings, but you may get some replies if you ask on the transportation board (this is where I found the previous helpful link) where someone could possible nail down the dates a little closer :)

The $54 deals were only available for a VERY short time (a couple of hours)
The new lowest internet rate seems to be $109 & up :confused3

I still think that some DINGS will appear at some point for $54:surfweb:

You had to grab them within the first couple of hrs after they opened at 11am on the 8th. OR hopefully a DING will show up for the time you need.

Ahh....that makes more sense. I don't need one until October anyway, so I will keep an eye out. I was just looking for a friend of mine.
