I've been on these boards off and on since 2001, but I still don't know what a "tag fairy" is :confused:

What (or who) is the tag fairy and why would I want to be visited by said character?

I'm guessing it has something to do with those cute "one liners" everybody has below their ID name, but I don't see how to edit that information. Can I do it myself, or do I need to beg and plead to the tag fairy for divine help?

The Tag Fairy is indeed the one who puts the silly phrases you see under a user's name, but the Tag Fairy only strikes in color! Phrases you see in black are done by the user themselves (like I did). The Tag Fairy strikes at random, usually adding a phrase to a user's profile that a user has said in a post. Hope this makes sense!

If you want to add your own phrase, here is what you do:

1. Sign in and click on 'User CP'
2. Click on 'edit profile'
3. In the box where is says 'custom user title' you can add your own phrase
4. click on 'save changes' and your custom phrase should show up under your name, but it will be in black. If the Tag Fairy really likes it, he/she may change it to color!
