What gives w/National

Tonight not having much to do, I checked my exsisting reservation for next month. I originally made this reservation in early October. I have a full size car for 12 days for a total of $281.35 after DC & Buena Vista Internet discounts.

Well I punched in my numbers and National now says the reservation for the same time is $349.16 after the two discounts. :mad:

I did not change anything, just looked at it. Should I just proceed with my printout and get ready for an argument there? Or jump ship and reserve someone else?

I think I'll go get some bids from the other agencies onsite. Me thinks with Nationals current problems it is time to find another favorite.

As long as you did not modify your original reservation, it should be come out correct when you get there. But bring your printout just in case. It wouldn't hurt to have a backup reservation. A friend used L & M last week & liked them.

Ah, the old "never pull up an existing ressie game"! As long as you have your original printout, you'll be fine.

The same thing happened to me in June. Just make sure you have your print out--make two copies to bring with you in case they want one for their files. Bring all coupons with you also. I just read on their website that because of security they require your membership card whereas before (and correct me if I'm wrong) you had the option of carrying one or not. By the way, I tried to rectify the price discrepency prior to leaving to no avail so don't bother. You really don't have to and they will not give you any trouble as long as you have documentation.

Don't use those change/view/modify reservation options on the National Website. They will eat your good rate. If you must check, enter your info on a NEW reservation and see if the price goes DOWN:)
