I am hopeless. There are support groups for this type of thing. I must be planning a trip to WDW or I don't feel quite right!
Our next trip won't be until Fall of '08 but already I feel compelled to check prices (ballpark figures, since obviously it's too soon!), compare resorts, do the package-vs.-no package cost, etc. What will the crowds be like?...Should we go this week or that?...If we book a package, who will give us the best deal?... Ever since I started really looking into this, I feel renewed, ALIVE!
Help me I'm obsessed! :yay:

That's why I love this board so much.... people who are addicted to planning Disney vacations and those who become depressed the moment their trips are over. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to plan!! I make lists, check prices, dates, plan, plan, plan!!! I understand exactly how you feel! :lmao:

I have the EXACT same problem...I need help, seriously. I am going for a weekend in May, a week in December, and then in Feb. 2008, and I already have the 2008 trip planned. I think I have gone beyond help!

I'm right there with ya, but my problem is that I haven't found enough planning activities to occupy my time! We've already booked our next trip (including our airline tickets), but there are still 4 months to go before we can place our ADRs or find out the EMH schedule and park hours. What can I do in the mean time?
Good thing there's the DIS! :thumbsup2

Don't feel like the lone ranger!!! I talked my family into a trip the fall of 07 instead of the summer of 08 just so I could have trip to plan. They don't know it but I will be pushing for a summer 08 trip anyway!!! I love planning as much as I love going!!!!

I feel this way to. I think what makes it worse for me is that I planned for 3 different trips. I started planning in June, our first trip was July, then Aug and last Dec. So I booked a room only ressie at the contemporary because I got a 40% discount I don't know yet if I will still stay there but as long as I can get dh to agree we are going.

As long as I have an upcoming trip, I feel just fine, no matter how far away it is! :confused3 It truly is a sickness!
Not many people understand unless they are inflicted with the same sickness!

I am in constant " planning mode"!! When I am not, I am trying to plan other peoples disney vacations-- and I know they think I am a bit crazy. I just planned my sisters whole vacation, including ADRs, and daily itinerary. Luckily, I just booked another vacation for our family for April, so yeah!:cool1: I have a trip to plan!!

Our last trip was June 2006. I planned it for 2 years. I actually boooked our ADR's before our rooms, since I had to wait till tax return time to make the down payment. I would so loooove to go next year, but I'm pretty sure that financially we won't be able to go till 2009. Also, DH claims every 3 years is enough.:confused3 Crazy man. It actually drives me crazy to look too much at the DIS because I get trip envy. Right now, I'm deciding which resort for our next trip. That'll take me a year at least. So far, we've done ALSMO, AKL, and one night at PO Riverside. Choices are POP, POFQ, CS or the Beach Club or Grand Floridian. (The deluxes actually aren't possibilities, but hey a girl can dream!!!)

Can't help, I'm the same way! I think we're going back next year just so I can plan it :) It's already been decided what restaurants we'll be eating for each of our meals, lol. I just don't know which day will be what park as I have to wait for TGM to advise on best days.
I'm a planner and love it!

I completely understand everyone's sickness. I've got the fever as well. I've been planning this trip with my Aunt (who also has the disease) since October 2006. We aren't going until Dec 2008. DH just shakes his head as he walks by while I'm on the computer.:sad2: He constantly reminds me... "You know, it's 22 months before we go" ... He just doesn't understand that planning is half the fun! I can't be there right now, but at least I can plan for when I am there.
I'm glad there are more of you out there like me who totally get it!!

There are support groups for this type of thing.
Where do they meet? Will they have Mickey bars? Park Maps? Dining Reviews?
We JUST GOT BACK from OKW 2 weeks ago, and DH and I were seriously depressed for 3 days.:guilty: We sat down and discussed it, then called Member Services and booked 2 more trips - depression over!:cheer2:
Since then, we have had to hire a sitter so we could go out and talk about the trips (we haven't told the kids, or anyone else since we will only get, "AGAIN?!?!" :sad2: ) Luckily, DH is as big a nut as me!!:hyper2:

I know just what you mean about trip envy. We just got back a month ago and I like to come here and read but then I get sooooo jealous that I have gone already and I get sad. My in laws are there right now and I told them I am mad at them!! (That is not fair since I have gone 3 times since their last trip!!)

I am in the club with you guys. Our most recent trip was about 4 months and til this day, I feel like I am going through withdrawal. WDW is not just a vacation spot. It is fun, a time to really focus on family and a break from life's everyday boring routine. It might sound cheesy but its true. Even my children and my nephew are asking about whether we are planning for another trip for this year.
Secretly me and DH have been looking into it but nothing set in stone yet so I am keeping my fingers crossed. It feels nice to know I got somewhere to pour out my feeling about our beloved WDW.

I thought I was the only one in the world who is constantly wanting to plan my next trip. We aren't TERCHNICALLY going until Jan '08, but are considering a short trip even sooner because I can't wait 11 months!!!

My first time at Disney was June 2003, and I fell in loooovvvee...but I was 8 months pregnant and inbetween jobs, so actually planning another trip was out of the question. I saw the Food Network's Christmas Disney special back in 2005, and I think that is where my obsession began! That night I decided that is what we were going to have as a family Christmas present, and I thought Disney day and night. We had a great holiday vacation this past Christmas, but I was very, very bummed when we got back, though. We are moving to Japan in June (Yay Tokyo Disney!), so it is way to early to actually plan another vacation since I dont know anything about Japan yet. We are taking a 2 week trip down south in March to visit the in-laws before we move, and HURRAY!! We are making a spur of the moment pitstop to Disney World, so I have something to keep me busy and plan!! I'm so excited!! After that, I will be antsy until we move, until I learn a little more about Tokyo's Disney. Watch out for me then, brand new things to plan!! haha

I'm exactly the same way! If I'm not planning a trip I just feel bored, restless and homesick lol Besides...planning is half the fun!
