We have AAA, but have only ever used the discount for room-only. For those of you who have booked a Disney vacation package directly from AAA, what sort of discount did you get off the rate (as opposed to booking the same pkg from Disney)? Free Dining hooked us, and we are willing to pay for the dining package on our next trip, so we'll be looking at a room/tickets/dining deal. But obviously less is better when it comes to the bottom line!! I did check the AAA website but they are only showing me info that's valid through June (our trip isn't until next year - I'm just trying to put the numbers together now).

TIA!

Discount is the exact same as for room only. They take the percent off the room portion...the rest is full price.

You also get a discount card with the package that is good at the world of disney for 10% off your total purchase. I also found out this trip that it can ge used at Ghirardelli's for a discount also. It also gives you discounts on behind the scenes tours and a few other things. Our package also came with a coupon for Planet Hollywood and a couple of other coupons. Also keep an eye out for discount codes that are posted on the boards as they can also be applied to your packages. Hope this helps....

Yes, it is off the room portion only as mentioned above... I used to do room only reservations through Disney CRO w/ the AAA discount but we wanted to add the DDP and you'd have to pay rack rate to get the DDP through Disney... went to AAA and saved $300 off our pkg (Yacht Club 7 nights, with 7 day park hoppers and 2 adults/2kids DDP)... :thumbsup2 Now if free dining IS offered, my TA said we could nix the $300 savings and take $700 off instead... Fingers Crossed!!! :thumbsup2
