We are planning 12 days for our first trip. What is the longest time you have spent at Disney World? Is there such a thing as too long?

I use to spend 16 days there every summer.. We have a timeshare so its worth to spend that long of a time there... 12 days is great to go to WDW. Try to plan out your days so you can get in enough done... :thumbsup2

In January '06 we were ther for 5 days, not long enough... so we went back again in August for 10 days still wasn't long enough! So for us no ...12days still wouldn't be enough! The main thing is to remember you'll never be able to see it alleven after lots of trips, just make sure you do get some time to just sit back and relax!:)

The longest I've been is 7 days. I wish I could spend about 15 days. Time to visit each park twice and a few days in between to relax by the pool.

Our famliy's first trip was in Dec '04 and was 12 full days. It was the first time @ WDW for all 5 of us! We loved it so much we bought into DVC... been back a couple of times since then, and will be back again and again!
Have fun planning. Use 'tour guide mike' online pages and/or 'the unoffical guide' online, they are both great resources!

Our longest trip was 9 nights/10days! It was great I wish we could do it more but we can't. We now go for 7nights/8days, which is still great. We get to hit each park at least 2 days each and still take one day off for shopping and relaxing. We just took a 4night/5 day trip and that was not long enough, but that's all the time we had. I don't care how long it is, as long as I get at least one trip in a year!!!! Disney is my passion...but only after my family!!!

Not for me. :cool1: My longest trip was for 2 full weeks and they still had to pull me out of my resort kicking and screaming. I'd stay until my money ran out if I could

Two full weeks for us!!! We would love to stay a month straight one day. Although we do get tired of the food after a week. We never get tired of the magic though!!!!

Wow, some of you guys have stayed out there for a really long time! The longest I've stayed out there is a grand total of one day lol. I don't see how some people can go out there day after day after day...not because it gets boring, but because I'm pooped after just one day out there!
So, I've never visited the parks multiple days at a time, but I visit just about every other month, so I get my Disney fix hehe

Our first trip was 8 nights/9 days. We thought that would be plenty, and even worried it might be overkill. Nope! We didn't do everything at the four parks - not by a long shot - and we didn't even get to do all of our favorite rides more than once.
So, we're going back in December for two weeks. This time, we know we still won't get everything done, but at least we know how to pace ourselves to maximize our fun!

We try to do 10 - 12 days per yearly visit. We dont go to the parks all day everday, we like to use the facilites at the fantastic resorts for R&R also.
We still have things we havnt done, it makes it great for the kids as they get something new every year.
If I was recommending a time frame for a trip to Disney, no less than 8-10 days.
Have fun

We have just booked our "second in a lifetime, dream vacation" for 10 nights & 11 days for late September but now that I'm reading these posts...I'm afraid it still won't be long enough!!! :scared1:

No need to be afraid! You can always do your "third in a lifetime, dream vacation" for 30 nights and 31 days next year!
Then you can fear, because it still won't be long enough! :rotfl:

May 2005 10 days....January 2007 14 days!! We had a blast and we really did not feel rushed every day. We are hoping for 2008, but it will not be as long as 2007. In 2008 we are considering a cruise/land package.

It is yet to be. We are planning for ten days in July. It will be nice to move at a slower pace, which will be a must since we'll have a one year old with us. We're looking so forward to this all-family trip!

Our first trip in 2003 was 8 days, 7 nights. SO wasn't long enough!! We're going back this year for the same amount of time but only because we can't afford to go longer, I do home child care so if I don't work, I don't get paid. :sad2:

For us Disney is only one of the things we like to do when visiting Florida. In 2003 our vacation was 10 days and we felt rushed and didn't get to see everything we wanted. In 2005 we went for 2 weeks, but split the time with the Keys and there were still a few things we didn't get to do. In 2006 our trip was a little over 2 weeks, again taking time to go to the keys. This year we are taking 2 weeks but not spending any time in the keys, however, we are planning on some day trips to the coast.

To date, our longest was 2 weeks in 2005. This year(March-April), we will be there 16 days. I have a husband that gets burned out too quickly if we are constantly going, going, going(which I how I would vacation w/out him!!)
Throw 2 kids in the mix who love to swim and shop(they actually do!) and we now try to stretch our WDW visits over a couple weeks. We get 10 day hoppers to allow plenty of flexibility and some days just do 1/2 day am or pm park visits, with the rest of day just relaxing by the pool.
I still wish our visits were longer...guess you can't have too much of a good thing as far as WDW is concerned! :goodvibes
