I am going to finalize my plane for US tomorrow but I have a question. Is HRH okay for kids that are age 7 & 8 or this is a little more of a wilder scene for younger children. It will be at thte end of August if that makes a diference! Any suggestions would help.
THANKS

I don't think HRH is a wild scene at all. However, everyone has different ideas of "wild". There is rock music in the hotel and pool (no it is not loud), the decor of the hotel is music oriented, and the staff is sometimes too "cool", but to me it is just a regular hotel with a rock theme. The people who stay there are no different that the people who stay at other hotels. Maybe if you have specific concerns, you could say what they are and we could give you more specific answers.

We are staying at the HRH in June and it is all my 8 year old grandson can talk about. He has told all the kids at school about it and how cool it will be to live like a rock star for a week, like he really knows what a rock star lives like lol.
There is no wild scene. The atmosphere is very cool but the behavior of the guests is the same as anywhere else.

Well I read more and talked to a few people yesterday before I went to see my AAA agent and decided to surprise the family with HRH. I think that my sons and husband will like it better. And the price for three nights was only $70 difference then PBR. So thank you all and I can't wait to go.:goodvibes

HRH poolside is one of the child friendliest I've seen, they have a pretty good pool activity schedule for the kids

Highlander is right about the pool, especially in the summer. The pool staff is great and they are always trying to get the kids involved in the games and contests they are organizing. I didn't see anything like that the two times I was RPR. The staff there seemed really bored with their job. I even saw a little one ask a lifeguard about a particular activity and get totally blown off! So I would say the pool the at HRH is very child oriented.

I have posted a photo for you - with my daughter in the pink - gathering all the children together for games in the pool. It was a bit of a pain, actually, because our days in the parks revolved around what was happening back at the pool and what time the hula-hoop competition was!!! Your children will love it.

There were hula hoop contests, dive in movies, and i missed pictures of the sandcastle building contest. The HRH is VERY intune (no pun intended) with families and are WONDERFUL with kids. Mine were 11, 7 & 5 at the time we stayed there in October. (mine are in pink, coral and blue here)
