..My pet chicken, Clucky, has passed on.. It appears we aren't doing well with pets this month. So be sure to go and hug your pets extra hard when you see them tonight..

My brother came in and said "Your chicken was the white one right..." so naturally I was worried, and then he just came out and said it.. It's so sad, as she was right there at the begining of all our Chicken Excursions and she was almost the leader of the chickens.. Now that she's gone the others (not to mention, I) won't know what to do anymore.. :sad: :sad1: :sad2:

The scary thing is.... I was the one who went to go and feed them this morning and they all looked fine!!! :scared1: Now I'm worried it was my fault or something!!! :scared:

Remember, in their wild state chickens are a "prey" animal and one of their defence mechanisms is not to show weakness (ie the hunter will pick out the weak), so therefore it would be unlikely that you would have seen that it was ill.

Thanks for the :hug: s everyone.. I think that we are going to have another Chicken Burial again. We never eat the thing; we are so emotionally atached to our pets that we wouldn't do it..
