I'm planning for Christmas 2007 and noticed that AP had a special menu and pricing that day. If you dined here it cost $26.99/adult. Normally this restaurant is 2 credits on DDP. How many credits were charged for Christmas dinner? What were the menu items?

I would expect two credits, which means Artist Point is NOT a good or sensible use of the Disney Dining Plan on Christmas.

We ate at Artist Point christmas day 2005 and it was regular menu with a special entree for the holiday. We had a wonderful meal (buffalo filet, plank-roasted salmon and beef filet with appetizers of caesar salad and mussells, dessert was berry cobbler and coffee 2-ways(I think that's what it was called). We did not use DDP that trip, but we were able to use dvc discount even on the holiday. I do not beleive that they stopped the regular menu for the holiday this year, but I am not sure. We used DDP this xmas and ate at Calif Grill that night and had a wonderful meal that for 5 people without alcohol was around $500 so it was well worth using 2 credits there(considering it cost less than $1000 for the whole 5 night DDP for 5 people.

Thanks, Connears - that makes perfect sense! Okay, then, I revise my opinion: The special holiday meal would be a poor use of Table Service credits; however, if one is ordering from the standard menu, it's fine.

Hubby says he wants to eat at CA Grill on Christmas, so it's a moot point... we will go to AP another night. :santa: Thank you for your replies!
