Will the Christmas Crowds be as bad this year?

Are there any projections about crowd size this year based on reservations? Will DCA and Downtown Disney absorb the overflow crowds that caused the gates to be closed early in the day last year between Christmas and New Years? We are considering coming one day, maybe the 26th just for the day, but not if it is a zoo, and we have friends who want to come down on the 28th who have the same question.

We just returned yesterday from Disneyland. I dont know if its because the weather was beautiful but it was so super crowded at Disneyland this past weekend. DCA wasnt as bad but still had a lot of crowds too, (Especially Sunday) I thought it was suppose to be less crowded this time of the year., I was there last July 4th time and the crowds werent as bad then.

we got back on monday...and boy was it crowded! last year at this time it wasnt anything like that
