Disney Store swimsuits

Does anyone know how the swimsuits from the Disney Store run size-wise? I'm looking on ebay for a princess two-piece swimsuit for dd. She normally wears a size 8. The swimsuit I'm looking at is a 7/8. I'm concerned that if they run small, it may be too snug on her.

Does anyone have any experience they can share?

I think they run big, actually. I just bought the Ariel tankini for my daughter, who is a skinny size 4, and the Buzz trunks for my sun...also a skinny size 4. They are HUGE. Instead of sending them back (I'm afraid they will be too small), my mom is "altering" them. They have great prices right now, tho! Both suits were around $9, and then we had the DVC discount. Our last Ariel suit seemed to fit better, but it did fade (and it wasn't just ours....we have a swim class friend's that same suit is even more faded).

They're cute...cheaper than the Target suits right now...

they definitely run big, at least wide, the 2 piece ones are big in the waist. Now my girls are on the thin side but they are huge on them. I think the length runs fine to a little generous.

I have always bought them at the end of the season on clearance and the first time I did it, I had to wait 2 yrs for them to fit my girls. I have a box full inthe basement but I'm going to check out the sale anyway.

You'll be fine they definitely run big.
