Has anyone used Polish pottery to actually cook in? I have a couple of pieces that I love but I was told today at the store (they had a huge display of PP) that it is wonderful to cook with. I am tempted to go back and buy a casserole or baking dish. I bought a teapot and 2 tea cups today.

I have several pieces and I love it to cook in. Nothing sticks to it and it keeps the food hot for a good bit of time after you take it out of the oven. Some of the pieces are expensive... just depends on where you but it at. I usually pick mine up at Tuesday Morning when I see it there since they have pretty good prices.

Here is a picture of an oval baking dish. They have a lot of nice patterns.

I like that! I'll have to look out for it over here - even though DH says I have way too much cookware.

Silly man! How can you ever have too much cookware?

I have alot of pieces my mother collected for me. I use mine mostly for decorative pieces in my hutch. They are wonderful, all the diff. patterns and colors. I have a huge soup turine, I love to use that. I do use my pitchers also. I believe my mother has used the baker in the oven. She has the Bunzlauer complete set for her everyday dishes...lucky her.

This made me laugh! I know its a glazed cupboard, but over here a hutch is what you keep rabbits or guinea pigs in :rotfl2: I just had this picture of flopsy bunnies eating their carrots out of a decorative bowl:rotfl:
