I can't wait until a few days in when the credits really start posting to see how many DISers are in the top 10. We always speculate on here about how many of my members are on the DIS. Now we'll at least know how many of the top members are!

For those of you who do not do many of the big trials, never underestimate the power of the Daily Surveys and the referrals. At $2 a pop, those referrals can really add up.

Tricia - I'd love to try the daily surveys, but for some reason, it tells me that my computer isn't accepting cookies when I click on it. It gives directions to enable them, which I've tried, but my machine is already set to "accept ALL cookies". I've tried everything, but it won't allow me to take the survey. This happens through any rewards program, not just SR, with those daily surveys. I tried turning off my firewall and turning off norton but it doesn't help. Any suggestions? Have you had any other people complain of this problem? I'm running IE6 and windows 98 if that matters.

I get that a lot, expecially with Greenfield. I belomg there and get the emails from them, I think I do one out of 50 if I am lucky.

Remember that you can only complete one of these surveys per day, including through other rewards programs. You can only successfully complete one of the Greenfield surveys each day, but if you don't qualify for the first one, go back in and try again and again, and....

I think I got REAL lucky being number 2. I just had a bunch of pending stuff that got credited. Now, there's still some more out there pending so it may go up but there's still 27 more days for LOTS of activity from others.

I often try for the surveys, but dh works for a tv station, so I often get booted out. Today I finally made it into a survey after 5 or six attempts! First one I've done in a while. I'll have to try for more this month I guess with the new contens. Day one I am #12. I was surprised.

Tricia is a very smart cookie! I'm sure this will get LOTS of money flowing through her site.

I think I took one guess in one contest and was completely wrong. I never do them. I have such a hard time finding the clues and then looking them up. Oyi - I love watching how everyone else enjoys them though.

My ranking went back down. About an hour ago I was # 3 and the #1 person had $90.00 but all of the amounts have since gone down. I wonder if Tricia posted credits that were not supposed to be credited yet? :confused3

Update: I went back on SR and I think what happened is that Tricia gave me shopping credit for something that should have been put into pending. That put me at #3 but then she must have caught her mistake, taken my credit and put it back into pending. That dropped me back down to the 300's. Must have also happened to a few others.

Hey Rebecca--I was just about to come and post about this!!

About 12 people got double credited for purchases that they made the middle of January (mostly Disney Shopping but a few others). The funny thing is that someone on here PM'd me within about 15 minutes of doing it to tell me that I overcredited them and I thought it was just a fluke. Then I got an email AND a trouble ticket from two different people. For all the fraud in the incentive business, I am proud to say that I think that I have the most honest members anywhere. :) :)

So I updated the leaderboard with all of the correct amounts. Sorry for the mixup! I was in such a hurry today to get credits posted that I used the wrong spreadsheet. :headache:

Actually, there is some ambiguity in the law. When you are getting rebates for things, you do not need to claim them. So most rewards programs do not send out the 1099s. It's kind of like frequent flyer miles.

Our accountant has advised us that we do not need to issue the 1099s. We are a little bit different from some of the other rewards sites in that we do not pay you a percentage of the people below you. I think those sites have to issue the 1099 because you are getting paid for something other than a rebate or trial.

YESSSSS!!! I talked to my TA today and she called Disney to confirm that she could indeed apply a gift card to my account. YIPPEE!!! So of course I ordered a $250 GC through the supermember link right away so I'll have another 25.00 credits coming before the end of the month.

I booked the cabin for 10 days months ago with a credit card deposit but paid the balance on check in with the gift cards. I am using whats left over for meals and souvenirs and I bought 2 other cards as gifts for my daughters and spouses to enjoy a Valentines dinner while I stay with the grand kids. Can I ask what denominations of gift cards you ordered? They gave me so much trouble about getting my charge approved for a $500 card around Christmastime I was afraid to order a large card again. I tried $250 this time so hopefully it won't be a problem.

WOW! That is all I can say for those at the top of the leader board! It seems like I do lots of offers, but I am absolutely blown away with how anyone can make so much in such a short period of time! I have pretty consistently been in the top 20, but I am running out of things to try, and I know there is no way I can get up there into the top 3 now. Maybe the leaders are new and doing everything all at once?? Anyway, this push should keep me in the supermember category for the next quarter, so nothing lost, but I'm not going to keep working so hard over the next 2 weeks.

I feel exactly the same way! The top ten was fun while it lasted, but there's no way I can compete for the top three! I will just be content to be a supermember for another quarter and continue trying to earn more for my next trip! Sunshine Rewards is the best!!:thumbsup2

Yep I have kinda given up too ;( Sad that its over but once I seen the 214 I kinda figured it was over at that point . And then all the shopping credits comming in at the last min kinda made me relise even if I get to the top 3 I will be blown away the last 1-3 days on the contest .

But I am happy to be a supermember .

I haven't cracked the top 10, and I doubt I will. I think I'm number 44 or something like that today.

I think the biggest result is that Tricia has been spending all day every day processing the thousands of dollars in gift cards that have resulted in the contest. LOL! They may be a bit slower than usual this month because I am sending out a lot more than usual. But they will still get there. :)

One thing that I have been grappling with this month is a lot more people not automatically getting credit for offers just because statistically a certain percentage do not track. I can run the offers one of two ways: 1) I give back a higher dollar amount on every offer but if I do not get credit, I never budge on paying the members a little, or 2) I pay out a little less on each offer but try to compensate members sometimes even when I do not get credit.

What's everyone's feeling on which you would rather have?

I think I would rather have #2. You have been so generous with me when I have offers not come through; I would hate to lose that little perk.

I opt for option #2 also. It really sucks when *my* credit doesn't go thru. It's nice to know that there is wiggle room for you work with us.

I like #2 as well. It is always nice to have that "insurance." I know there have been a few offers that haven't credited for me & Tricia has been wonderful about pursuing them & then giving me a partial credit when the sponsor doesn't come through.

I think #2 is a better offer for everyone. Most of us have been on the side of not getting credit - not Tricias fault - and are a little disappointed.

And I am #27 on the February board!!! Will never make it to the top, but it is fun to see where I am!

We are cruising on Feb 24th Western - it's our second cruise - we went last year and had such a fabulous time that we rebooked on board. We were going to move it to a later date - but my DH is working in California and I'm in Michigan trying to sell our house - so long story short - we needed a family vacation.

Congratulations on your earnings - I thought I might have a chance but I've given up. Now just to cancel all my trials before we leave.

Well so this won't help me in the contest ($360 for #1 - oh my!!!), but my TA (bless her heart!) was able to cancel my June booking and get the $800 or so I've paid already refunded to my Visa, and rebook using my Disney gift cards. Once the refund comes through I can order more gift cards to pay the balance and the credits off those plus what I have in my account already will take care of spending $$. :cool1:

Maybe it will help with a similar contest next month. I have really enjoyed watching this one. I've been in the top 10 once and am currently #13 -- it's so fun to see where I land every day!
