Trying to figure out if we can drive all the way thru instead of staying overnight on the way. With 4 drivers it might be ok...Anyone else ever drive all the way thru from the northeast???

We're staying at the Camelot Inn, which is right on Harbour next to the Shuttle buss/Taxi Entrance. It's about a five minute walk to the park, and the hotel is really nice. :-) They even have a pool on the roof where you can view the fireworks at night. ;)

We will be in WDW from 4/21-4/28 staying at the Poly. This is our first time there - I use to stay at CR when I was little, and then stayed at POR with DH (Before kids) and CS with kids. I am excited for my kids to experience staying at a monorail hotel - that was always my favorite as a kid. We are going down with friends and they will be at the POR.

I can only say we drove from Pittsburgh last year to Universal straight through. A "must-have" is a dvd player. We actually borrowed one and bought one when a ToysRUs went out of business here. That way each kid had their own shows to pick and bring with them. DD16 and DS08, don't always like the same shows. It worked like a charm on the way down, they were actually PERFECT, something we don't often get a chance to see. Coming home however, they were back to their normal ways. But one way was very enjoyable, so we're trying our luck again and driving down to Disney in April. I wish you luck.

Believe it or not, this trip is 8 years in the works. When my youngest was born I started talking about going to Disney whenever he was old enough.

Today he actually looked at me and told me that dreams do come true cause he's been dreaming about it and it's finally happening. His brother is just as excited. It makes the waiting worthwhile. :)

actually if I think about it... this trip is 30 years in the making. I remember wishing I could go when I was 10.

It's a first trip for all of us so if you see a family that is completely star struck and speechless, it's probably us. :rotfl: (of course I've heard that Disney has a way of doing this to all.)

I noticed that, your the second person I have talked to who is going to a similar timed ADR as we are with a 8 year old son.. Seems to be the age this year I guess..Chef Mickey is our last ADR we leave Saturday :( and do it on Friday and I actually had Hollywood and Vine Scheduled for Dinner on 4/17 but cancelled it today for a 8:40 at WCC cause my hubby preferred that venue instead and i wasnt really sold on H and V anyway

We are going to be there from April 14-21. We are so excited! :banana: It will be Me and DH, DD13, DD5 and my cousin and her husband and their DS9 and DD6. Ok I just discovered something at Walmart that I had to have. The section with the travel/trial size things has tide sink packets for doing laundry in the hotel sinks. I had to share. I usually put some powder detergent in a baggie to rinse out the swim suits.

We have 4 more days to go. I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. There are clothes in piles all over the floor. I lost my 4 year old somewhere under here...:confused3

I also picked up the roll-up bags. :thumbsup2 My daughter used some for camp and Kayak trips a few years ago and they worked great! They've come down ALOT in price since then. It used to be you coule only get them in the camping section or Outdoors specialty stores.
