I was just at the dvcmember website and saw an announcement for a new contest for DVC members only. The winner gets to stay in Cinderella's castle for a night as well as 4 nights for 5 people at SSR. When I clicked the go button I was taken to the special events page, which did not have anything about the contest.

Does anyone have any further information about the contest?

when I click it goes to the specialoffer

at the top of the page in red - enter this enchanting sweepstakes - that is what you click on.

you can also enter a photo if you want too.

I just tried clicking the link to enter the sweepstakes, but could not get it to take me to the entry page. Perhaps there is a glitch in the system. If anyone was actually successful in entering, could you please post exactly how you did it? Thanks!!

Thanks, Pat. I tried again. Still not working. Link takes me back to same page I started on. I'll try later. If anyone has additional success, please post.

Make sure you check of the acceptance box at the end of the rule and regulations. I had trouble until I realized I need to check the box.

Hope that helps.

Ok, so I can get to the page easily enough, can find the check box, etc. BUT...it asks for club id (I have my member number)....but the box for club ID has a hyphen in it and my member number does not??? Ideas?

I'm still having this problem as well. Does anyone know if this might be a computer security issue? Cookie or pop-up blocker problem?

look on the other page - it was that number you register on the DVC member site with.

it is not your member number.

From the rules and regs page: "Limit one entry per Disney Vacation Club ID Number, regardless of entry method, for the Sweepstakes. Limit one prize per person/family/household. "

Therefore, you can submit one entry per ID number (if you and your spouse/co-owner have separate ID numbers, you can each endter), but there can only be one prize awarded per family or household.

I think it's only one entry per club id?

I believe it's only one entry per club id - but, if you co-own, you should have two club id's. My husbands -# is different than mine.

Also, I was able to enter the contest using my husbands laptop. I must have some kind of pop-up blocker on mine that wouldn't let me get to the sweepstakes entry form.

All four of my memberships allow me only one entry, not four. But my wife also got an entry.

Well, I don't know what my DH has done to this blasted computer, but I can't enter. I'll try his laptop this evening. If that doesn't work--and for any of you who are also having these annoying technical problems--there is a way to enter by snail mail. AARRGGGG . . . . .

I am entering the club number that shows up on the left hand side of the screen with a single digit in the second box, but it keeps telling me the information is wrong. I have checked the acceptance of the rules of the contest.

Make sure the spelling of your name is exactly as it is on your account when you enter ... that might be it ... ;)

If anyone is having problems getting to the contest page.

When you sign in, on the home page, up at the top, click on Just For Members, once there, click on Special Offers, that should take you to the contest page.

hi i heard about this too.. but where exactly is the winner going to stay in the castle? would this mean the winner would be in the park at night all alone? in a way thats cool, but seriously what do you do say you want to go somewhere late at night or you come back late at night or you want to go for an early breakfast would they let you just leave and enter the park like that? i dont know, just throwing thst out there. sounds like a cool prize though... when do they pick the winner? do they only get accomodations? no flight? park tix? food? etc...

thanks

Just entered the contest but wasn't sure when the actual prize trip is or if you can chose your own specific time to go. Regardless we would have to make time if we won!:rotfl:

Assuming it's the same as the Castle Stay they are giving away EVERYDAY this year. There is now a Suite in the Castle. The winners stay over night in the castle, but not alone. First off the park never really sleeps. Second Disney would never let a non-employees be alone.

You get to stay, but from the various write ups I've seen you get "locked down" for the night. If you want/need to leave there is CM on call to escort you.

For the non-dvc stay, you have to be AT the parks to get the night stay.
