My AAA TA has been REALLY slow at getting back to me to book my 9/07 trip. :sad1: But as fate would have it, I read about the 40% off code here on Friday and decided to take my chance and call CRO. Had the NICEST CM I've ever dealt with. She informed me that I did have a code in my name and I was able to book AKL Savannah view for 40% off!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

Hi, Just wanted to answer some questions. My thought is that I got a little pixie dust or a Year of a Million Dreams wish or something because I just called and was told I had a code. I never received the code by email or snail mail so I'm not quite sure why I was lucky enough to get it. All I can say is call CRO (Disney Travel Co for those who asked- and "CM" would be cast member) and give it a try. :wizard:

If I did my math right...I think the room originally is about $320/night and I got it for $192/night.
Really hoping that some of the rumors on here are untrue about Disney "correcting" reservations and charging people a higher amount than they were quoted at booking. I really don't understand how they could possibly do this. If you were quoted a price and paid, I don't see how they could possibly raise the price on you. I checked my reservation on the Disney website and so far the price I was quoted is still listed.:confused3

Thank you for your reply. I did some math and thinking and realized that free dining for us is better than 40% off the room rates and I believe you only get one offer. So I am hoping for free dining. We have a big family and we loved the free dining in fall 2005, plus we love that time because it is slower. So if I wasn't able to go at that time, the 40% off would be the better deal!

Ya, the free dining was a great deal...that we managed to get the past two years! And I think it's definately worth more if you 1) have a big family and 2) are going to stay at a value resort since 40% off those rooms is only a savings of $30/night or something like that.

Well I think we qualify for a big family. There are nine of us. Free food comes to a savings of over $1,700 with tax!

yup, 9 would be a "big family"....we are only a family of 3 so the room deal was a better one for us. Although it is kinda nice for the psyche to think every time you are eating at Disney "I got this free" :)
