FYI -

Another family travelling with us called up their AAA office and told AAA about "The Code". They already booked package through AAA. AAA called back after digging around and calling WDW and said they can apply the code to their existing package. My friend called WDW earlier and they noted he does not have any personal pin associated with his account.

So, AAA is honoring the code now too.

Moderators may still be censoring the code. But if you want to, you can go to my blog in my sig or PM me for the code.

That is good news. I really want to book with AAA and I got a price from her. I figure if I can get the code applied, I can save a $100 on 6 nights at a value (in addition to the AAA discount - about $200 total). I've delayed calling myself because AAA is always a better deal for me. I have their credit card and get rebates that I can only apply to travel packages. I can save at least another $100 just on my rebates alone. Hence - my desire to book with AAA.

The 40% off is not huge with the values, unless you are staying for 10 days or so. But its just me and DS and we don't need anything better than that.

Okay, I'm gonna jump on this one, too. Can someone PM the code to me? Also, is this a package or can you use it on room only? THANKS!:thumbsup2

As she mentions, click on her blog and she has the code listed. No need to wait for PMs.

If you all are able to book using THE CODE please let us know. It may help to put to rest some of the question over whether the code requires a pin or is open to anyone. Thanks!

None of the dates worked for me, but was told, No, this is a pin code. :confused3

Have to wonder with all the confusion, will they honor all of the ones they did book. What a mess.

I updated my CR ressie for the last week of August today. I simply called (for the third time :rotfl: ) and said I wanted to apply "XXX" code (self censored) and the CM did it without any questions. I did have to upgrade from a standard to a garden view but it still saved up $800 off of rack rate on the standard!! :cool1:

That is sort of how it worked for me on Tuesday. I first asked if there was a pin attached to my name, and the answer was no. Then, I asked if I could use code XXX for my dates and what would the rate be. It took him a bit, but he came back and the code worked. He knew there wasn't a pin, so maybe the code is working with no pin. I've confirmed this with several different CMs on different days and have gotten the same answer every time-the code is fine and no pin needed.

Well, I got the code, but was told that the code could not be used in conjunction with AAA. The AAA discount, which can only be about 20% at the most, got me better rates than the code.

Something is fishy. Maybe I'll just stay home! ;)

FYI, you can't use "the code" discount AND the AAA discount. You can only apply one...there is no doubling up of codes.

I just called to modify my reservation dates to 08/25-09/01/07 and asked to use the code and was put on hold and then she came back and asked if I have a PIN # and I said no and she said I could only have used the code with a PIN#.:sad2:

My AAA agent called and I did not have any pin numbers or codes attached to my name but being the wonderful agent she is she called back the next day and was able to have a code applied to my existing reservation!!! We're staying at a value resort during value season so it's only a savings of around $150 but it beats nothing. My fingers are still crossed for free dining!!! :thumbsup2

But was this on top of the AAA discount?

I was told you could only have one or the other.

One or the other. I am the OP. Should have been more clear. My friends went with AAA discount. When I told them about the code, they told their AAA agent and the agent took off the AAA discount and applied this one (which is a better deal).

Okay say free dining does happen, will they no longer honor the code price?:confused3

If free dining comes out and you'd prefer that over the code, then call and switch to free dining but only one offer per reservation. For people staying at Deluxes, the code is usually better than free dining due to the amount of savings per night.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. :thumbsup2
