I had no pin attached to my household I just told them I had a code for the 40% promo offer. A friend of mine had to call several times before a cast member applied the code.

I had no PIN, I just called and told them it was my understanding there was a PIN code out there and she found one gave us the discount!:banana:

I don't know if this counts but I used the PIN code that I got via e-mail from Disney. According to Disney reservations, I didn't even have to give them the pin code because they already had it in my file.

I just called & got a quote, which was straight up rack, then asked if I qualified for any discounts. He looked for a few minutes & then came back with something (I didn't ask, lol). It works out to be 40% off...whatever he used!

I got it. I just told them that I had heard about code *** and asked if they could apply it to my stay. The first CM I got couldn't find a code, but the second one pulled it right up.

My husband spoke with a very nice CM tonight that was going to give us the 40% discount...we opted not to take it because we would have had to switch to CSR and it doesn't look very kid friendly, plus we would have had to give up our other code and it would have only resulted in a $200 savings. He told us that the code is available to anyone as long as it's not peak season...peak season has to have the pin. I may call back tomorrow though and check on AKL.

Along the same lines, those of you who were able to use it....did you already have a reservation, and just use the code to adjust it, or did you book with the code?

Likewise, did the dates of your trip fall within the dates listed or did you get it for dates outside the ones floating around?

So many rumors floating around. We've already got a trip booked for 11/23 - 12/1 (not in the dates included). Would LOVE to try to get it to go through with the code, but am not sure it would be worth it. Any thoughts?

I got it attached to our household via email and was able to apply it! Reservation told me the rooms are limited. This maybe why some can't use the 40% off?:confused3

I hadn't had previous reservations. I was able to book mine from Dec 17th- 31st. Past the Dec 22nd deadline only because I booked before the deal ended and received the same rate throughout my stay!

I just got off the phone with CRO and had a very polite, knowledgable and chatty CM. He said he received a bulletin today about a NEW CODE on Monday. He was not able to give me "the code" today but said call back on Monday or Tuesday. HTH everyone!!!

I was able to get the code. SSR 2 bedroom I called for making a reservation in case free dining came out. I asked if I had a pin he said no but there was a 40% code I code use. So I saved $1,700 off of rack rate.

The CM I spoke to first this AM said the Monday code is the same one we have all been using. I was too impatient to wait so I called back a couple of hours later and gave the code outright and got it added (finally :rotfl: )

Dh called and got the discount with the code with no problem.(I hope!) No pin codes attached to our house and was very clear about that with CM. It was within the October dates. I mentioned it to a co-worker going in August and she called and got the discount with no problem after adjusting her dates to fall within the time frame. Hope it all works out for everyone!

I could have booked, but to be honest, it wasn't as good of a deal as I would have liked. We have the AAA discount applied to a room only ressie for a king room at POR for 8 nights. We are planning to purchase annual passes. If we used the code, we would have also needed to purchase trip insurance due to the uncertain nature of the health of our parental units.....all 4 have some sort of issue that makes us uncomfortable. On top of that we would have to purchase 2 one day base tickets that we would not need for at least a year or two. The cost per day was going to increase by roughly $143. I don't think that we will eat that much food in a day to make the dining plan worth it. So, we decided to keep what we have.

Just for kicks, I had them run the room only code that could be applied to my reservation and AAA was still better. Maggie

I was able to use the code this afternoon for the WL! I had called twice when the code first came out and I never mentioned the code, but asked about discounts and was told that there weren't any. I had just given up and would hope for free dining again, but after I kept reading about how everyone else was still getting it I decided to call today. I got a really nice lady and asked for rack rates. Then I told her the my Disney fanatic aunt, who does come on here, knew of a code and she was able to apply it. :banana: I put a hold on it to talk it over with DH. The details are:

WL Courtyard View (all they had) 7 days and 6 nights, 7 day hopper, dinning, and insurance for $2,470.38

I checked the disney website and the same criteria ended up being $3,202.72.

The nice lady said that they had limited availability and that supposedly they only had 2 rooms left for the dates I inquired about, 9/28-10/5. The price would've been the same for AKL. So don't give up if you still want to get in on this deal!

I just tried to use the same code for our friend. They are going the same dates and same resort as us. I was told I need a 16 digit pin to use the code. I hope something comes out on Monday so the kids can be near each other.

I called said if I could get a quote on days I wanted to stay... played dumb said I heard something about a code.. I wasn't sure how it worked... she asked what it was... I told her... she said it was good for packages only.. .I said great I wanted a package... she asked where I'd like to stay.. .I told her pop or movies... both were no goes for the code.. asked about POR... no go again.. she said sports was avaliable(I needed 2 rooms at a value so I didn't even ask about other moderates)... she gave me a price.. I said.. okay.. .that was the end! Oh we did chit chat a little bit about how the pools were heated to *82 year round.. I said well that's wondeful.. I wish I could have been there last night it was -3 here... she paused... said that scared her we both laughed and went on to book my vacation. It was the first time I've ever booked a room there, first time I ever called and seems to have went very well.

I didn't know about the 40% code until today when I read some posts. I decided to call and ask politely. It worked! I wound up changing my existing reservation from Pop to POFQ for about the same cost. What a deal! I would also have to say to those who didn't get the code either, call anyway. You never know...
