Some family friends of ours have them. One of them is the director of ABC Disney. He and his family don't really care for Disneyland, but are able to get in free whenever they go. We don't talk to them about DL very much at all, but I was just wondering if someone knows all the benefits of a Disneyland silver pass. :goodvibes

I don't know all the benefits, but I think they are allowed to bring guests in every day, as opposed to regular employees who are limited to a certain number of days a year. I'm sure others know more.

The Silver pass entitles the holder to unlimited sign-ins and fewer blockout days, while the normal CM blue pass has 16 sign-ins per year and more block-outs. They both entitle the holder to the 20% food discount and I think the silver has a 35% merch discount like a CM with a B discount. As for how many people they can get in at a time, 3 plus the holder is standard, but it depends on how many dependents the pass holder has.

some errors there...the 20% and 35% is only valid with a CM employee card, not the pass... In order for you to use a Silver Pass, you MUST have the Cast Member take you in, you cant just hand them the card and you get in, Unless the Spouse has the power to take ppl in.
Silver pass takes awhile to get :/
I dunno if i can go to anymore details without gettin in trouble so that is all i will say about it.

Every silver pass I've seen shows that it has a discount (I have seen a few). Some blue passes do if they're at the B level. And I did say it was the holder of the pass who did the sign in, not just anyone who it was handed to as the things do have names on them and the folks at the gate require a photo id which matches the name on the pass (whether it's the CM or spouse as many spouses do get main gate passes).
