My girl scout troop has the country, Canada, for Girl Scout Thinking Day in late February, and I need ideas for some little craft or food that we can sell at our booth.
I was trying to find something with a moose or beaver (like from Oriental trading) or something with a maple leaf but Im not having much luck.
any ideas would be appreciated. :teeth: thanks!
ETA: this event was over Friday! We didnt have a food ...we did a hockey game and raffled off stuffed animals that represented Canada. The girls had a great time and our booth was very successful. thanks for the great ideas everyone!

a Maple Leaf shaped pin. I have one made of leather and it is beautiful.
As for a snack, what about maple flavored, individual apple crisps or maple flavored fudge. On the Kraft foods.ca site there is a Canada cake.
I am not really sure, maybe google crafts for Canada Day or something like that.
Here is the link for the cake.

Maple Leaf Rice Krispies squares and put red sprinkles on top? That is if you can find a Maple Leaf cookie cutter, my daughter works in a mall, I'll ask her to stop in at the Kitchen store and see if they sell Maple Leaf cookie cutters there, if your having a hard time find them there.

thanks for all the ideas everyone. My girls decided not to do a craft..but we do still need a food. They want to have an chinese auction of different stuffed animals....and they are each going to find a moose or beaver or other animal to put in the auction. I said ok..whatever...that's easier for me! :teeth: ;)

For food, I realize poutine isn't easy to make ahead, so I suggest butter tarts or naniamo bars.
