View Full Version : help leaving tomorrow
Had planned to just do WDW and my husband just called and said lets leave tommorow and go down early and go to Universal. I have the flights and hotel changed but I need help on Universal. I have never been there. we will be taking our boys 5 & 9. Can we get a discount on tickets? we will only have one day. I see there is a ticket that gets you into both parks for one day. do you really have time to do both parks in just one day? We could go on either Wednesday or Thursday, which day would be better? Any park touring advice? What is the best way to get from WDW to Universal. Help!!
Hmmm. That's a tough one. I think I would probably get the $85 online early bird ticket that gives you 7 consecutive days of use. You buy it online and pick it up at the kiosks at the park. You may find that you want to go back for another day during your vacation. If you get to the parks before opening you can do so many of the rides before the crowds get there. I think the weekday crowds are pretty low right now, so it should be good either day.

you can hit all the high points in both parks on one day
As damosaid, arrive early. I would say plan on being at the gate 30 prior to opening. With your kids ages I would hit US first. Do Jimmy Nuetron, Shrek, ROTM and MIB then ET. Then run over the IOA. Hit Hulk,Spiderman and D&D, then head over to Seuss Landing.Hit anything else that you want to do... ie Flying Unicorn, Pesedeons Furry, Sinbad show. Then go back over the US to hit any shows you want to see.

I was at Universal yesterday and the crowds were very light considering what a beautiful day it was. The longest wait was 25 mins for MIB around 2pm. Other than that...hardly any waits at all and midweek should be no problem.
