I'm thinking of booking a package with dining with AAA for this October. What happens if I book with AAA and then Disney offers package discounts for general public. Will AAA adjust my package price.

They will but I am not sure if you have to call or if they will do it automatically, This is what I would like to know.

When speaking to an agent she told me that if anything came out they can apply the code but that I will lose my AAA discount. She said if it is a better deal then they would do it but I never thought to ask if I had to call and tell them to.

I don't know if this will help very much or not, but 2 years ago we had a package booked through AAA and discounts then came out that were better than what we had booked and paid for. We had to completely cancel that reservation, and book a new one with the discounted price. Everything ended up ok, our TA through AAA was very friendly and accommodating.

I just called my agent last week when a discount came out and it saved us some more money. She just called Disney for us and and we didn't need to cancel and rebook.

We have a AAA pkg booked for late August with the MYW DDP, 7 day park hoppers, and 7 nights at the YC.... the savings was $300 less than going through Disney. I asked if free dining does come out, if it was possible to adjust my reservations to reflect it? She said that I of course would have to nix the $300 AAA savings (no double dipping on discounts allowed), but the $700 savings would be way better :thumbsup2 anyway! :rotfl: Also, I know if I were to outright cancel my reservation, AAA imposes a $30 change/cancellation fee PLUS if you have trip insurance, you lose that as well... so my $120 in Disney insurance and $30 cancellation fee would be 3/4 of my $200 deposit if I cancel.

Not all AAA's have cancellation fees- I know AAA Mid Atlantic doesn't.
