For those of you who will be comming to Disney within the next few weeks, I'll be headed to the Disney Pirate and Princess Party tonight. I'll be bringing my digital camera, so as long as it doesnt rain I'll have a review with pics and all that good stuff. :thumbsup2

Heh, eating dinner at home now (baked ziti...yummm) and I'll be getting ready and heading out right after. I'm pretty excited, just crossing my fingers hoping it doesnt rain!

Nah. We didn't stay very long because after it started raining, it got a bit chilly. Some of the activities weren't going on either due to everything being wet :( All in all it was a fun little party. I'll be going again Feb. 5th and hopefully the weather will be better then. My batteries also ran out on my camera, so the flash wasn't very strong LOL.
I set up a slide-show of what pictures I did get, and you can see them HERE. (http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b230/Zanderon2/Disney/?action=view¤t=1169593027.pbw)
There wasn't much in the way of decorations for the party, but Main Street was cool because it kept changing colors and the sound track would change with it to either pirate songs or princess songs. The parade was very cute (most of the pics are of it), and the new firework show for it was amazing. I didn't go to many of the "Treasure Spots," But I did stop in one to see what they were giving out. Looked like Hershey's Kisses and chocolate "gold coins" as well as beads. There was also a "haunted" ride on the riverboat, and several dance parties. A lot of the character meet-and-greets were closed due to the rain, but we still saw a ton of characters.
It was a cute party, but my favorite thing was seeing all of the kids (and quite a few adults LOL) dressed as princesses and pirates. Nothing like seeing a ragged pirate and his gap-toothed wench pushing a stroller with an infant dressed in rags through Fantasyland LOL
What is it with me and the princesses???
I am totally down with the pirates, but the princess craze drives me crazy.
I swear I am not a furious feminist (though, hey, back in the DAY), but still there I am, curiously irritated by it all.
Still, with a three year old niece who I will be escorting (again) through the parks next December I am already thinking about Cinderella's Castle :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My dear Viki,
Take the resort monorail to the park, it will stop at the Poly and the Grand. Both have lovely gift shops that sell little bottles filled with magic potions. When these potions are mixed with other items (mixers) it makes having dinner in the castle a real treat! These "potions" also mix quite well with the famous dole whips! :rotfl2:

If you're going to go through all that trouble, you might as well make an extra lap and stop at the Contemporary for the full Monorail Drinking Triple Crown.

The jungle juice served for breakfast at Boma is AMAZING when mixed with certain clear liquors. We always squirrel away a glass of it when we have breakfast at Boma.
