We are just back and were lucky with watercraft! Must have been because these 4 days at WDW preceeded a DCL cruise, lol!

The first night leaving MK we were headed to the boat launch back to the Polynesian because the kids really wanted to ride a boat. However it had just left, and since it was cool and windy we decided not to wait and turned around to head to the monorail. Just then a guy I soon recognized to be a Dream Squad member ran over to us asking where we were headed and did we still want a boat ride. Only after he directed us to a closed boat launch, start a boat up that had not been running, and take us in did I recognize it as a dream -- we had won a private moonlight cruise! Very romantic, even if the kids were with us! They took a polaroid as well as a photo with our camera, gave the kids tons of stickers and trading cards, and we got a certificate to commemorate the occasion.

Our last day in the parks was at Epcot and we were riding the boat back from World Showcase to Future World when the boat was boarded by a Dream Squad with a big black bag. He handed out Dream ears to all of us!

These last two were not official dreams but magical moments for our kids just the same. Earlier that day in Epcot DD7 was picked by the CM at a pin kiosk to be the child to select the pins he displayed on the display lanyard. She was so excited to be chosen!

And finally DS9 was picked to be part of the Toy Story Roundup (or whatever it's called out front of the Country Bear Jamboree in Adventureland) while we were at MK. He got to wear a cowboy hat and hold a cactus for the characters to dance around.

This is exactly what I love about Disney--the opportunity to have such special memories on each and every trip. During our Christmas trip, DH got a Dream Fastpass, we all got Dream Lanyards and DH got a free dessert (even colored blue for YOAMD). In addition to this, we had so many other magical moments it's hard to remember them all--DS was selected to "open" AK on Christmas Day and carry the rope all the way to the safari, that day he was also selected to yell "All Aboard" on the train from Rafiki's. Later in the week he was chosen to play Forte at Storytime with Belle, and be the guest skipper on Jungle Cruise. We also got to sit in the front of the monorail from Epcot.

One more thing I just remembered, speaking of your little one opening AK... when we got to MK that morning we headed straight for Tinkerbelle's Treasures. I never mentioned about waking Tink up to DD, but we got there just in time to watch another little girl wake her up. DD thought it was so special that she got to see Tink being woke up! Never crossed her mind that had we walked a bit faster that she could have done it herself ;)

That is great! I dream of dreams to come true...I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I can't help it.

Congratulations to you and your family. It sounds like you had a great time.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but how do you "wake up Tinkerbell" @ Tinkerbell's Treasures? My DD4 and her Grandma would be beside themselves!

TIA

It's actually very cute! If yours is the first little girl in the shop, ask the CM if Tink is awake yet. I believe the girl is given a wand to gently tap on her drawer and say "wake up Tinkerbell", and then she flies out around the shop. I believe the child is given a certificate.

We were there during an off-peak time so I thought we had a pretty good chance that not too many people know about this, but we missed it by a minute. I have heard of people running for the shop to be first.
