A question for anyone who may know...
what kind of discount can you get on rooms with your AAA card?

It varies by season. Also, I believe that there are only so many rooms available for the AAA rate at each resort. It is definitely worth checking out. I have seen many people on these boards save more than enough to pay for their AAA membership.

It does vary by season and it also varies by the type of resort you are booking. Off the top of my head I know that in regular season the values/mods are 15% and deluxes/DVC are 10%. In value season I "think" values/mods are 20% and deluxes/DVC are 15%.

We saved 20% off a Value during value season (8-5) which added up to about $170, plus we got $50 off the package for booking during January because at AAA January is Disney month. I totally believe AAA is worth it. We saved 30% off at our local eyeglass store ($180) and this discount of $170---I'd say we're way ahead of the $46 fee AAA charged to join up. :cool1:

How can this be? It's supposed to be a cut and dry figure...based on the resort and season. Are you figuring the 2% from the "package" total or the "room." The AAA discount only comes off the room portion of the package.

If it's still only 2%, I'd find a new TA.:rolleyes:

During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.
The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts

It was from the total package figure. I might call again. my TA was quite boring and not knowledgable at all.

Plus I wonder if I can cancel and rebook again this month to get the Jan. discount
