The free child places are a marketing promotion to fill the hotels when the parks are traditionally quieter. Sometimes in October the promotion also runs but Halloween has now become a main season so it may not run then.
I suspect that if it is not in the current brochure Disney will not give out early info :)

I've just tried a booking for the 23rd April at Santa Fe on the DLRP site and it does infact price up at approx £150.00 cheaper if I put kids ages in at 4 & 5 rather than 8 & 9, so whilst it isn't advertised on the site yet I assume the deductions are there. It's been well advertised that children under 7 only are free during the Anniversary year - end of March 2008, and some of the tour operators are advertising this, unfortunately DLRP don't seem to like to give very much info out on the website, too early.

This isn't the same as the Kids Go Free Promotion which runs from January - March and includes children up to the age of 11 and can include travel, for instance by Eurostar.
Hope this helps.

After March 30th, children under 7 stay free when you get a hotel package (free hotel and tickets) .

you can book the transport package and get the free child offer for the hotel and tickets.
I booked my flights with Disney direct and I was just charged for the flight for my DD who will be 5 at the time, and don't have to pay hotel or tickets for her.
