Live from the Jan 20th Eastern Magic!!

Hello disboarders!! As I type right now we are sailing past the Bahamas on our way to St. Marteen. We got to the port yesterday at 10:00 and it was so nice and quiet! The boys met some of their Disboard friends at the terminal and we boarded about 11:45. Had a great lunch at Parrot Cay and we were able to check out our rooms by 1:30. This is the first time in three cruises that we have stayed aft and I must say I don't really like it! We are on deck 7. We had a lot of overhead noise. I'm thinking there must be some sort of crew only closet above us or something. It was loud until after 11 and then started up at 5:45! We won't be staying deck 7 aft again! We had some confusion at dinner with our table but they quickly worked it out. Our servers are Roland and Gerfase(?). Woke this morning to beautiful, warm but windy weather. DH is at the Art of Entertaining cooking demonstration and the boys are in the club/lab. I'll touch base later in the week. Bye all!

Kelli, thanks for the post and good to hear that you are on board again. It's hard to believe it's been two years since we met you and your family in line waiting to board the Magic. Our best friends and their three daughters are on board with you this week. They were originally supposed to sail with us this past September, but weren't able to. The live posts will help us vicariously enjoy this trip with them. Have an awesome voyage.

Hello again! Dh & DS are watching the Pats game right next to the Internet Cafe so I decided to check in. Yes, Christian is the CD and I was pleased to see Pikey back on board! I remeber you AllEars and I can't believe that we have sailed two additional times since then! Formal night was tonight and we could only get one of our DSs out of the Clubs to join us! Hoping for some restful sleep tonight and another beautiful day tomorrow. Good night!

Are you on the port side aft or the starboard side? I was going to ask what room, but that's not really a safe idea since you are live on board right now. Just wondering because we are aft deck 7 on our next cruise.

oh boy, we are booked for for 7 aft too. Please let us know what rooms as soon as you get back, not that we can change anything at this point. I guess we should by ear plugs?! After 11 would not be so bad but 5:45 would be horrible especially since we have 2 small ones that may not go back to sleep.

Hello again!

We have a deck 7 cat 11 inside stateroom and it is number 762?. I'm not puttign the exact number but if you are in that area, it is noisy. I can't believe it's not on anyone's noisy cabin list yet. I thought with no inside cabins on deck 8, there would be no overhead noise. But, there is a big crew closet and guest services told me today that the aft cabins tend to creak more. So...between the creaking and all the banging overhead (starts at 5:20am!) I am glad I brought a sound machine and Tylenol PM. FYI, the kids don't seem to notice it at all. We are having a great third cruise regardless and can't wait to dock in St. Marteen tomorrow!!!

I was on the same cruise. We never got to the movies but they were:

there may have been more but I don't remember them right now. You can call the cruiseline and ask what movies are playing for your cruise.

Curious too, as we also are booked deck 7 aft, but we are an outside stateroom, cat 7, port. I wonder if that would make a difference?
From "762" maybe kellimomo3 has an inside statroom from 7619 to 7639? That is on the starboard side if so. Hmmm ..................
Is this a deal-breaker and need to change rooms?

Friday, I am leaving for my scrapbooking retreat so I am doing my journaling on the computer and thought I could easily turn it into my trip report so that's my goal...to get it done today! I will start it under a new thread though.
