We were ready to send in our deposit on our deal and I was told my department was looking to downsize. :-(

It's not meant to be for us right now, but maybe in the future (I hope).

I'm so sorry to hear this. It must be very disappointing.

The DVC will always be there. Let's hope that there will come a time in the not so distant future when we'll be "neighbors."

Good luck!! I certainly understand. I was laid off in early October. I bought back in February and if I hadn't, I certainly wouldn't be buying in right now.

I hope that even if the department does downsize that you aren't affected and like Regina I hope that we can welcome you home before too long.

Not to worry. There are still plenty of ways to enjoy WDW on a budget without the bells and whistles of DVC. The increased number of resales available now speaks to the economy's effect upon owners.
