Splash Mountain - Guess who we ended up sharing a log with

We were in line for Splash Mountain Friday morning and who starts getting in with us but Gerri and her girls. We rearranged a bit and had a great time, saw a few hidden mickeys and hopefully I have a picture of one as soon as I develop the film.

Believe it or not this was Gerri's girls first time! They look like pro's to me :D

The one hiding is my Samantha. Gerri's Samantha and Kate are in front with Gerri & Vicky in back.

Kate spent the rest of the day with them while Samantha & I rested for MVMCP party that night. She had a blast, she's not going to want to go to WDW again without lots of DISer's for her to hang out at the parks with.

Awesome picture! :) I can't believe it was Vicky and Sam's first time on Splash! :eek: How come they aren't closing their eyes, clinching the 'oh sh*t' bar, and screaming at the top of their lungs.....like Livia and I did on our maiden voyage???? :confused: :rolleyes: ;)

Great picture! Tia, As the one sitting behind you and Liv, let me clarify for everyone. You were hanging on to the bar, however, LIV was locked into an upright position and did not move the entire ride!!! Once it was over, Liv loosened up some, but KarenNy thought she would just freeze into that position! LOL!

You both deserve credit for going on that ride. Facing your fears is always a great accomplishment. Now, you are both wet veterans!

Yes, it was all of our (my family) maiden voyage. The girls ride the log flume ride her at our local theme park Frontier City. I choose not to ride it cause it always gets stuck and I'd be embarassed if it stuck with me :)

I have never been to WDW long enough to get to ride this, but rode it four times this trip. It was so much fun!!

Samantha and I rode it twice in a row without getting off on the night of the MVMCP. As we were walking off, Tammy-Oregon and her group wanted us to ride again, and I would have loved to, but I had already left Vicky sitting and waiting on us for a while, alone. I know she was OK, but I didn't want her to get worried and try to find us. When we came out I think she was ready to call out the military on us :)

Jan, we'll ave to set a date for a Six Flags trip with you guys!! I know my kids would love it!

We may have to do 6flags again this year. We had a small DIS meet there in September Geri and it was great fun. Lots of thrill rides! Kate was off with the group and I barely saw her, she loves the rides!

Jody: sometimes I think I am still holding to that log. But I doubt that the people from DCL would have allowed me to board the Wonder on a log brought from WDW. To be truthful, on the photo I am completely frozen, with eyes shut, screaming, while Tia seems to be exactly on Janette's Samantha position.
The picture provoked peels of laughter on my ex-husband on Christmas dinner. I feared it to be posted.

Now this is a great picture. Gerri and the girls seem to be having such fun!
