Does anyone have a favorite recipe for homemade waffles? I use the 4 in one Mickey waffle maker if that matters. I would like to start making these and freezing them for a quick breakfast.

Also, what about a homemade biscuit recipe that you love? I'm having a hard time finding a good one! It would be great if these could also be made and frozen for later use!

I'm trying to get back into cooking for us, so I'll be checking out this board now!

Thanks so much!!

I got a good one for biscuits from Recipezaar - freezable, and DS(7) eats them (and he's really fussy!)

I use this one for our waffles:

2 cups favorite pancake mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs (or use egg substitute)
3 tablespoons oil (or substitute applesauce)
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder

my kids love waffles but whenever i make them at home, they don't taste light and fluffy! I have the Mickey waffle but they taste almost heavy instead of a light. I have used the ratio on the pancake/biscuit maker but my DD will not eat them. Despite the cool Mickey shapes, i can't figure out whyl. i have also tried the recipe that came with the waffle maker and it was no better. What am i doing wrong>????:sad2:

the best waffle mix:

Krusteaz Belgian Waffle mix

The best mix and also the tastiest! I don't like bisquick waffles...

For biscuits, I use the baking powder biscuit recipe in my Betty Crocker cookbook...I  warm biscuits with a bit of butter and honey...or jam...or lemon curd! lol!
