just trying to get a handle what we might expect in the first couple of weeks of may

The weather can be either a little warm or comfortable or even hot.

Crowds are moderate to high, depending on the day you go. I've been there the past two May's -- first was the weekend of Mother's Day, the second time was I think the first week of May, maybe the second.

Each time, during the weekend the lines could get up to 75 minutes for some of the more popular attractions. *Most* attractions were a little shorter than that at their highest, more like 40, and some never got above 20.

During the week, however, waits were always much shorter: 20's or less.

The reason is a lot of schools will take the seniors on a pre- or post- graduation field trip to Disneyland, which increases the crowds.

However, to give you an idea, when we were there last May even though we *saw* lines around 45 minutes or more on occasion, we *never* waited in line for anything except Fantasmic (which wasn't really a *line* per-se) for more than 20 minutes and were able to see about 3/4 of the park in one Saturday. So while the crowds can be fairly high, you can still see a lot even on the weekend.
