Hi Guys!

Well, BIL gave me new PSP 8 software that he never used (never installed). I know PSP is up to version 11 million by now...

On a recent project, I found my Canon-supplied ArcSoft PhotoStudio was fine, compared w/ free 30 day PhotoShop Elements 5 trial. But, I assume I barely touched the surface of what PE5 can do, and I also realize PE5 comes with tons more online support via friendly users like yourselves.

Where does PSP fit in? Should I install this and give it a whirl? Should I go ahead and invest in PSP how-to books, or just ditch it and spring for PE5?:confused3

Also, please see/comment on related slide show question; i was asked last night to quickly put together a slide show for my son's baseball team fundraising dinner.

Thanks Y'all!:thanks: :disrocks:

If I were buying one or the other I would opt for PSE - in case you ever got serious enough to want full blown Photoshop it would be less of a stretch. But if you have a free version- well hey, as they say- if it's free it's for me.

paint shop pro 8 is a nice program..

PAint SHop Pro Photo XI blows it away, rather than installing PSP8 I would recommending downloading the free 30 day trial of PAint SHop Pro Photo XI . it has some new tools such as a suntan brush, tooth whitener, one click blemish remover,

it is incredible

I have a friend who swore by photo shop until there was somethng he couldn't do with a picture I showed him how easily it was to do in PAint SHop Pro Photo XI , he downloaded PAint SHop Pro Photo XI that same night
