Longing for the Polynesian Luau :(

Does anyone feel like I do? I REALLY miss the Polynesian Luau.....all the authentic music they played for the evening....that lovely lady that used to be the m.c., the dancers & musicians for the entire evening (not the 5 minutes they dance now). I do realize things have to change at WDW but it still upsets me that the Polynesian Luau is gone.
I have so many wonderful memories of that show with my family and always dreamed of being there with my:sad2: family....

I've been to the original version, and I miss it, too. I think they may have modernized it to make it more kid-friendly...but should have left it alone. Kids are still bored, and almost everything else was already geared towards kids anyway. Ah well.

Binkrin I not sre how many years ago it was changed...I would guess at least 4 years ago. It used to be a terrific show. Great for couples and families now it a kid friendly show.

I gotta chime in here and agree too. We loved listening to all the old Hawaiian songs. That's what makes a luau for us along with the wonderful dancing. Bring back the old Hawaiian songs...PLEASE.
