We are going to book a package wit hroom and dining and tickets. Will the tickets be paper, or are they recorded on the room key? Will they be sent ahead of time, or do we pick them up there?

I think they will be encoded on your room key and you will get them when you check in. If you would prefer, when you get there you can ask them to put the tickets on blank room keys (cards that don't actually open any rooms, just tickets) if you want them to be seperate.

I'm actually not really sure. A couple of years ago when I made reservations they mailed the tickets to me and they were plastic. I would suggest asking over on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board. I'm sure someone who's done this recently can let you know.

I'm really sure.

When you check-in at your resort, each person 3 and older will get a credit card-looking-thing. That's Your Key to the World card. On there will be encoded your room key, your park admission media, and your dining credits. You can also set up a room charge that you will access with that same card.

it's very convenient that everything you need is all in one card. And if you lose it, there's no problem. You can get it replaced at any Guest Services location (resorts, parks, DTD). Your room number isn't on there, so it's not like someone can go ransack your room. And even if someone did manage to charge on it, if you have the room charge backed up with a credit card or debit card you won't be liable for any fraudulent charges.

Make sure you make your ADR's.

It's only 2 1/2 weeks now! I'm so excited!
