Hi-
Our family wants to vacation (and possibly buy if we like it) at Disney's Hilton Head resort. What's the best route to go to stay there? I'm looking for the least expensive way to stay at a 1 or 2 bedroom unit. Is it best to try to rent points from someone? Try my Disney Club Card discount and book a room with Disney? Travelocity? What are your thoughts?

DVC often offers very low rates for a 2BR at HH (around $99 per nite). These aren't offered year round- usually in late fall and winter months-but can be a great way to see the resort and sample the island. These are provided thru the sales staff. SOme are thru DC and some thru AP's.

Good Luck!

There are offers that involve tours on the DVC website (but usually off-months.) Last year, I was able to get 25% off during the summer by using DC (it was a promo advertised on the DC site (under other disney vacations.) The published DC discount usually isn't that good. But watch for specials on the website for very good deals (over Xmas, we were able to book at Vero at the Value Rate and get the 3rd night free by just checking the info on the site.) Mary Waring also publishes discounted rates for HH at www.mousesavers.com.

My family is going to Hilton Head (where we hope to buy into DVC) in two weeks on a great DC special. We are paying $115 with tax for a 2 bedroom villa per night. I called the DC number to book it. They are offering the 1 bedroom for $89 per night before tax. Hope this helps!
