Hi there!
i am trying to reserve really nice restaurants for my family and noticed the high ratings for Mythos.
is it value for money or is it best going elsewhere in the park?
This might sound stupid but my brother hates fish, are there other 'normal' meals apart from that he would like?
thanx!

I keep missing Mythos being open. Everytime we've gone it's closed. I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy.

Mythos doesn't stay open past 3pm if the park closes early. I tell everyone to go at 11:30am for an early lunch. You won't need reservations.
The Cowboy Burger and Wrap of the Day are great for those who don't care for the fancy stuff. You can even share one if you want to save room for desert.

Everything we've ever had (eaten there 3 times) has always been awesome. You can't go wrong and it's priced very well.

A trip to IOA just wouldn't be the same without lunch at Mythos. Good food, drink and atmosphere puts Mythos high on my list.

I thought the food was good, but the service was below par.

Mythos lover here! I haven't stopped thinking about that chicken dish served on top of mashed potatoes but I just know when we get there the risotto will be calling my name. I think we better eat there twice next time.::yes::
My restaurant of choice in Orlando.

Mythos is a must do for us.
If they still have their quick lunch (or what ever it is called) menu, the lobster stuffed baked potato w/salad is great.
The risotto of the day is always good
The chinese chicken salad is also afav of mine.
DS always gets the buffalo chicken wrap or chicken club
DH loves the cowboy BBQ steak sandwich
DD likes everything on the kids menu

Does anyone know how strict they are about the kids ages for the kids menu? My boys will be in the 12-15 age range on our trip and are pretty picky eaters. DH & I would love to go and try the restaurant and the variety of choices, but the boys would be happy with chicken fingers. Of course I don't see anything like that on the adult menu. Would they allow them to order this since they're obviously not 9 and under? Would they allow them to order an "adult" sized (and priced) portion? Thanks!

My DW ordered of the kids menu last time so you will be okay
We have eaten there several times and enjoyed it each time. We are planning on eating there again when we are at IOA in April.

I love that about Universal! I have a picky eater and sometimes "I" just want a smaller meal. We have never been refused ordering off the kids menu at any of the restaurants.:thumbsup2

Just adding to the kids menu reply...
My 13 year old regularly eats off the kids menu at Mythos; specifically the One Fish, Two Fish ravioli. His age has never been questioned.

Thanks for all the replies - I'd pretty much ruled out going there just because of the more "exotic" adult menu but I think we'll try it. I know this has been asked and asked, but you can't make reservations until day of, correct? And the best option seems to be just to be there around 11:30 or so? Thanks again!

They normally unlock the doors around 10 or so and leave a sign-up sheet for reservations on the desk. We just pop in and pencil our name and requested time.

Mythos is an excellent restaurant with a menu that will appeal to a broad range of tastes. For our lunch there, we were pleasantly surprised at the bill considering what we ordered (alcoholic drinks, signature dishes). It's not a bargain, but I would say it's a good value.

I liked Mythos and they serve a variety of entrees. There should be something for everyone. It has a nice ambiance and the service is excellent. It also has the heaviest chairs that I have ever encountered.
