Thanks everyone! Im thrilled to have won!

This was taken with my little Canon Ixus 800- I was leaning on a railing as we forgot the mini tripod! After some experimenting, I found fireworks came out best on the auto setting, focusing on the castle, flash off of course. The fireworks mode gave too long an exposure which blurred the castle and often made the fireworks look like trails of light and not proper bursts of light.

I find these shots difficult - Wishes is quite hard to shoot as the fireworks are at different height levels and the lighting on the castle affects the exposure quite a bit. This one was the best of about 8 I took that night.

Thanks to everyone for their votes. Actually there was nothing out of the ordinary in the taking of this pic. We were waiting by Aladdin's Magic Carpets whilst Scottish Maleficent and DW took the kids on the ride. I spied the ducks in the pool nearby and just rested the camera (Fuji Finepix S5500) on the wall. The duck in the pic was nearest so I just lined her up, put on the Macro setting and let the auto-focus do the rest. You've seen the result! Just want to add my commiserations to Matt . . . the late vote wasn't deliberate! :rolleyes1

Mine was at ISO 1600, to negate the need for a flash. Unfortunately, you get more noise at that level. Then I just played around a little early on in the ride to get the shutter speed right, which was 1/30 which set the aperture at f5.6.
