Is it scarier than all the Disney and Universal roller coasters?

It's bigger than all of them, but who knows if its scarier? It's also this tallest and fastest in Orlando if that is you idea of scary.

It was the first proper coaster my 10 year old rode, he spent all day looking at it and trying to decide if he was going to ride. Eventually he plucked up the courage and loved it. This then set us up for a great holiday as he would then go on everything else he saw, including the even bigger and faster stuff at Bush Gardens.

Kracken is a very smooth ride though. One of my favorites.

IMO Kraken is the best coaster in Florida.

Kracken is probably the best coaster in Orlando - although I would accept the arguement that the Hulk is just as good.

It is fast and high, but is very very smooth.

Try it in the dark - we did it a few years back and it was the best ride ever. On the frnot row with the big headlights showing you the way - awesome.

Out of all the coasters in Orlando/Tampa, the Kraken is by far my favorite. Unlike some other rides which have a few great moments (SheiKra, The Mummy, ), Kraken is exhilarating from start to finish. It's also incredibly smooth and comfortable. The Hulk has amazing acceleration at the start but can leave your head a little battered even if you have it jammed against the headrest.

IMO the front row is the best thing you can do in Florida. Absolutely nothing around you given the foorless design.

IMO anybody can handle RnRC at Disney, they could handle this one. It's much smoother than RnRC.

Kraken was my first "Big" roller coaster...and I'm hooked! It's very smooth and while it was nerve racking climbing the big hill, once we were going it was a terrific ride. It's very smooth. I'm now a bit of a coaster junkie...we went to Cedar Point 2 years ago--awesome! Hershey Park--awesome! If it's an inverted B&M coaster...even better!

Try it...you'll like it!

This is a great web site if you want to know about rollercoasters. I don't know if that's where yaytezIOA got the stats from or not.

Does Kraken have special seats for Pooh-sized people like the Hulk and DD? I want to ride it, but am scared I will get to the front of the line and not have a seat to fit me. :scared:

yes, they were all designed by the same company and have the same seating configuration.

Actually, they have a few rows with 2 buckles, that offer sort of an extender for more comfort. We were just there last week, rode Kraken 6 times! We loved it!

I love coasters but have never ridden a floorless coaster. Do you get the same sensation as those where you hang down from an overhead track--like you are going to fly away on the inversions? Or, are you pressed down in your seat?

It feels like any other sit down coaster, in that all the loop forces are toward the centre of the car, so down. The main difference is that there is no 'box' around you so it looks very diferent when your riding.

If you're like my DW and close your eyes from the bottom of the lift hill to the break run then you'll never know your on a floorless.:lmao:

No, this sounds like a blast!! I'll have my eyes wide open! As long as I'm not on one of those dangling down kind where I feel like I'm going to fly off, it's all good!! Thank you. :thumbsup2
