That when you read the post of a peson at DISCON you hear it in their voice. I noticed it when I first got back. It kind of gives the boards a different feel, more like Family.

I've noticed that too, Pat. And putting the words with the voices and the faces (and in Tia's case, the giggles) makes it that much better.

I'm going through heavy withdrawel symptoms myself. A year seems so far away!

Yes!!! :) For instance, I hear Pat's accent, I hear Steve's quiet voice (remember I thought you spoke loudly? :rolleyes: ;) ), I hear Barb's accent, etc. etc. etc.

What's really hard is trying to describe this trip to other people. They just aren't getting it. This was one of those "you had to be there" trips! A million times a day I want to tell someone something and then decide I can't because I just can't do it justice.

I said before I went that I love to listen to people talk. I LOVE accents and now reading your posts is like reading a Star Trek book for me. I get into character and imagine their body language when they are saying something. It's so nice.

I have no accent :D I miss everyone too, and Barb I can't even describe DISCON to DISers who weren't there much less a non DISer.

It was an amazing time. I don't think I met one stranger, it was wonderful :)

Debbie- I'm upstate- we don't have accents here :) I did grow up in northern NJ so I still "tawk" and "wawk" and a few other "slight" variations of the English language ;)
