Substituting for the appetizer ??

Sorry if this has been posted many times before. I could not find it. Can you substitute a salad or soup for an appetizer on the DDP? Just asking, as this is very new to me. Thanks!!:)

Most of the time, yes. There are some salads and some soups, though, that are entrees, and so of course that substitution is not permitted.
