Question for someone has seen a vinester

What do the vinesters look like? Do they pop up in a separate window like the hitchhikers used to, or are they just on the screen you're looking at? Do they come up more often if you are posting as opposed to just reading?

In case anyone was wondering, the vinesters do pop up in windows like the hitchhikers do. I got about 7 of them (25 tokens) in less than hour just now, and I was only reading posts.
